Hello from Vancouver!
So what's up?
When I was just having fun in Vancouver and Seattle, Modstylist Amy from ModCloth.com emailed me to see if I am interested in participating in their Uniquely You Campaign. After a few days of hesitation, I said Yes! It was quite a hectic as I was not sure what will be my rest of schedule would be like and I do not have my laptop with me on this trip. Great thanks to cousin Galvin for letting me use their house computer.
I was really thrilled upon browsing Modcloth.com , COS' EVERYTHING IS VINTAGE AND RETRO STYLE! The online fashion shop does have clothes which available in Plus Size! Now all the fashionistas regardless of sizes cos I see everyone are beautiful (unless you have a heart filled with evil thoughts) can be even more beautiful! Adding on to my excitement, Amy emailed me the image of the dress - Committee Celebration Dress which I have to ensemble it with my own and it feels so Taylor Swift! This is definitely a dress which I will wear for Four Seasons.
Let's add some magic to this dress. *Sprinkle fashion barbie's dust*
Magic 1: Looking Curvy
When I got this image, it has already has the "bright color over dull color" concept. It will make you look really curvy as black color clothes make you slimmer while bright accessories, in here is the blue belt, shape the body while it divides the upper body (the width is smaller) and the lower body (the width is wider). There you have the hour glass figure!
Magic 2: Add-on
I always like to start from top to bottom.
1. Hair - You can choose if you wanna tie your hair up into a ponytail or you could just add a head wear. For this look, I chose Through the Wire Headband in Bouquets. Cos it has some details color to it. It won't make the full black dress look super dull and to me, adding some pop of warm colors really makes one seems really youthful!
2. Ear Rings - I chose You Bow What I Mint Earrings. Mint is a really sweet color and then the cute mint bow portrays your sense of your unique fashion.
3. Necklace - I chose Retro Rosie Necklace in Red Both of my eyes straight away grew onto my monitor screen when I saw this necklace I grew in love with it. How I wish someone could give it as a gift as it's only cost $11.99 CAD !!! It's so affordable but then I already had too many necklaces. But I do not mind anyone of you gave it to me as a gift! A touch of gold thin chain and the red rose could immediately bring this look to the 80's pop!
4. Arm accessories - For this spring look I do not want to add too many accessories on the arm nor any rings on the finger. In fact, I just use bags as accessories. For this look I found two bags which you could choose - Downtown Day Trip Bag in Deep Teal which suits people who are looking for mature look and Look Into Your Heart Bag matches anyone who love to head out for some spring time shopping (you ALL know, you gotta bring as little as possible when you are out shopping). The colors match the blue belt.
5. Shoes - I feel that I really need to give this look some blending popping color. So I chose 'S Marvelous Heel in Scarlet . For this, when it comes to fall when the weather starts to chill, you can just add this really cool Lavishly Vining Tights which I have found on Modcloth's website. Wearing a heel gives you some height to your overall look if you're like me... Short.. If you have not worn a pair of heels before, I advise you to wear shoes with thick heels and then practice walking with it.
This is the overall Spring Look, I called it "Your heart on mine". This shall be my campaign piece.

Magic 3: One dress, many look.
Now it is my job to show you how can I save some money by having one dress and reusing a few accessories to the rest of the three seasons - Summer, Fall and Winter.
Wait! But you are from Singapore! The country with one season, summer or/ and can say that there's spring.
Oh well, you'll never know if you never try.
