I have been spending my free time reading The Geat Gatsby. The story about a Midwest native arrives in 1922 New York and fulfilling his American dream of being a writer. He witness and pens the tale of impossible love, dreams and tragedy of the city that never sleeps.
Ideas of elegant outfits for the gentlemen and ladies slowly sink in. I want to create outfits that have the feels from the 1922 New York; which enable us to be able to have pull off comfortably in both indoors and outdoors.
I have been drawn to the couple matching styles for the past few weeks. To make this blog post more challenging, I have given myself FIVE must-have guidelines that I have to put in consideration. This includes:
1. Inexpensive
2. Light and portable
3. Matching Couple Looks
4. Elegant
5. For ALL skin tones

Moisturizing is very important for EVERYONE. The best moisturizing product I always use for my everyday, from makeup to body and even nails will be, Vaseline. It does not only moisturize your entire self, it also acts as a very good face primer for your entire face. I always bring it around in a small container. I also use it to soothes my skins and also my lips (like a lip balm). You basically saved up a lot of space in your luggage.
After you landed onto the ground of Las Vegas and head your way to the beautiful and thrilling adventure in one of the
beautiful hotels, you will still want to be on your tip top condition. (

For the Ladies:
Twisted Triangle Statement Necklace | Forever 21- A bold statement necklace is all you need to as accessory. Trust me, you will not want let your accessory be the main point of attention.
Optional. Midnight Romance | Ralph Lauren Fragrances- I was told that this perfume will last all day. Just spray once will do.
Guesseted Work Bag | Charles & Keith- You know you have a very versatile work bag that you use for work. So, bring it along with you as an airplane bag or as a fashion statement. You can give yourself as an excuse to buy new bags to replace the one that you have been using for work. Or rephrase it a little, "You have work hard, you need to reward yourself."

Draped Garnet Jumpsuit | anthropologie.com- Why a jumpsuit? Because you will not need to be worrying about wardrobe malfunction when you are trying to get comfy in the plane. Having one piece outfits in your closet is always the best choice when you cannot make your mind up on matching your outfit of the day. Furthermore, this jumpsuit suits almost all occasion. You basically bought more than one outfit when you actually only got one. And also, not everyone are daring enough to wear red, especially during the day. #fashionforward #bonuspoint
For the Gentlemen:
Guys I know the cute casual look is not really gentlemen. Because, I want you to portray out the gentlemen look LOUDLY. Letting your girl to shine in the airport is very important, you will thank me after that. *Smirk*

Pro Long LipCreme | MAC- A fashion friend of mine who is also a make up guru shared with me her review of her MAC's cosmetics and she gave it a 10/10. It is not only affordable and also long lasting.
Another travel tip: I do use my creamy lip sticks as blush and they last long and easier to apply. *Hmmm maybe I should do a tutorial on it. *
Naked Basics | Urban Decay- Why basics? And why is the first basic palette? I have been using it since the day I bought my very first cosmetic in Seattle's Sephora. I use this palette for my eyebrows, eye shadows, highlighter and whole face contour. I actually received a lot of compliments. This is my secret to save on make up.

For the Ladies:
Change up into your most comfy clothes and match it up with your beau. You can still keep your wedges but please do change your bag to something light.

For the Gentlemen:
Now for the beau, you may want to only change your top and keep everything light. Save your energy for shopping cardio later.
Classic Pique Polo | bonobos.com- Polo tee always makes a bad boy looks smart. It must means it makes a smart guy looks smarter.
Travel tip: You do not have to keep on changing every piece of your clothes when you are traveling. You can actually re- wear most of your clothes. Especially, jeans. Jeans can be re- wear for up to 4 times! Also you can buy new clothes that are either hard to find or expensive in your own country.

The Great Gatsby Dress | unknown (picked off from Pinterest)- The uniqueness of this dress lies on the details and how the different tone of rose gold matches so perfectly with each other. I would love to own this dress.

You do not have to always wear the classic colors like black and white or match up with your lady. With your hair back combed, you will look stunning with the suit of any cool colors.
Canvas Lace-up Chukkas | 21 Men- They say formal classy wear but no one will forbid chukkas shoes. The most versatile shoes that suits casual and formal style. I got this from the guys in my class who dress in classy 80's and looks smoking hot.
For the petite size ladies, I actually came out with another outfit for you (and also myself).

Sue Wong Great Gatsby Dress | Sue Wong- Found this off Pinterest and fell in love with it immediately. The bodycon dress that has the fringe (which is really popular during fall) as the finishing touch is something that you do not always see. The length of this dress is perfect for my height (153 cm) too!
For the Gentlemen:
Nobody says you can't wear shorts for a formal event, let alone inspiring from the fashionable Kanye West.
Let us break Instagram's #OOTN as we wear polo tee underneath the blazers and matching with shorts that only covers slightly below the knee length.
The Academy Blazer | Bonobos.com- I want to add some details into my man's outfit. Remember what Victory Beckham says " Less is more". Just a simple details on the blazer can actually add spice to his entire outfit.
Classic Pique Polo | Bonobos.com- Get your polo tee on boys. Get it simple and classy,
Washed Chino Shorts | Bonobos.com- No more strict rules on formal wears when you can get comfy and formal at the same time. This is why I mentioned earlier on, to have more one linen shorts in your luggage boys.
